Responsibilities

• Gather data from various sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets, etc)
• Clean and preprocess data by handling missing values, duplicates, and inconsistencies
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Use statistical techniques to interpret data and provide meaningful reports
• Create dashboards, charts, and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or Python (Matplotlib/Seaborn)
• Present data findings to stakeholders in a clear and understandable way

Qualifications

• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and experience in translating business problems into data-driven solutions, including handling large datasets, data validation, and statistical analysis
• Understanding of big data analysis and programming tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, AI
• An understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management, including governance requirements
• An understanding of the financial services industry
• Proficiency in SQL
• Stakeholder management
• Bachelor’s degree grade 60% or above in any discipline
• Eligibility to work in South Africa
• English level B2 or higher
